For Low-Income Muslims

Below, you’ll find a list of links to physical and digital resources for low-income Muslims seeking emotional support, financial resources, and/or physical assistance in times of financial hardship.

Muslim Housing Services - Seattle serves low-income and homeless families in Seattle and throughout King County. They were founded due to the urgent need of culturally and linguistically competent programs and staff, after noticing that many families were not able to access mainstream services. Many of their clients are from refugee and immigrant families, especially those from East Africa and the Middle East.

Muslim Resource Center- Low-Income Resources List is a nonprofit organization that provides training, technical assistance, counseling, and various other community-based services to Muslims, as well as non-Muslims, in Illinois and across the country.

Muslim Social Services - Central Florida is a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of services to low-income families, such as access to emergency funds, food pantries, citizenship & immigration workshops, and counseling referrals.

National Zakat Foundation - London and Neighboring Cities is the first charity in the UK to set up dedicated housing for homeless Muslim women in London, Birmingham, and Manchester. They provide safe accommodations for insecurely housed women and partner with St Mungo's Broadway and the Better Community Business Network to house young Muslim men who have recently been release from prison.
